Things To Do
Welcome to Sintra
Explore one of the most important cultural icons of Portugal Pena Palace at Sintra.
Once inside, you will be treated to a visual explosion of architectural brilliance and scenic beauty. The palace is right out of a fairytale, complete with drawbridges and watchtowers.
Cabo De Roca
Standing at the most westerly point on mainland Europe, Cabo da Roca provides an unrivalled panoramic view out over the immensity of the Atlantic Ocean. The imposing lighthouse, with its tower finished in white tiles and with a red walkway, stands out as one of the oldest in Portugal.
The Initiation Well at Quinta da Regaleira
The fairytale estate of Quinta da Regaleira is a postcard-perfect mix of Gothic, Egyptian, Moorish and Renaissance architecture. A pair of wells, called the Initiation Wells, spiral down deep within the earth, like inverted towers.
Looking for the best view over Sintra? Climb up to Castelo dos Mouros, a Moorish monument from the 10th century. Walk along the beautiful trails and see ancient artefacts from the Bronze, Iron and Neolithic Ages.
A great beach with beach bar, sunbeds and shades in the centre of Cascais.
A beautiful beach with an excellent beach restaurant, cafe and car park..
Praia Grande Beach
Praia Grande is a long golden stretch of sand with many good bars and restaurants close by.
